Whem I open a view, for instance, an elevation-I have to adjust the crop lines to make the entire elevation visible. Is there a method of making the drawing views more intuitive without having to adjust the cropping lines? Thanks for any help

extend the elavation parameters within your template file to suit the average job size. There is no way to have elavtions automatically adjust to suit larger buildings.
