Please everyone when you call for Revit help of talk to any one from Revit, make them put in a request for Accurender4 to be implemented into the next Revit build. Look at the web site like for more information. There has been alot of upgrades including animation, and HDRI image rendering as well as 3d grass and ground cover. http://www.accurender.com/4/new.htm

I have heard a rumor that Revit 10 is to use 3d max (mental ray) for it's rendering. If this is true the renders should be smokin'..

knowing Autodesk .. they will not incoporate MAX into revit just because they want to keep individual softwares in their productline - the main reason they still have Archtectural Desktop. You can already link a Revit model to VIZ.

Rumor I heard was that Revit has a specified amount of time on a contract with Accurender. The implementation of a Viz plugin was not done just because they thought it was necessary. It was to assist in creating interoperability with Revit and Viz. This then would then lead to an implementation of Viz into Revit once their contract with Accurender was complete. That is what I heard.
