I have used the paint tool to apply a cedar shake pattern to my walls. The problem is the pattern is being applied upside down. Any ideas? DJ

You should be able to select the pattern itself in your project view and rotate it 180 degrees. I think this only works for model patterns...or maybe it only works for drafting patterns. I don't remember, give it a try. :-)

How do I select just the pattern? When I try I get the entire wall.

hover over one of the lines in the pattern and hit TAB until it is selected.

Does this work for patterns in wall types also?

Othewise does anybody know how to pick the origin or angle of a pattern?

I am trying to use a legend for general wall types. Typically we put line types in the wall but Revit only allows you to put hatch patterns in... So I uses a 45° hatch pattern for one and that works great. For the second wall type I tried using vertical lines but the lines are vertical to the screen not the object. Can you use a model pattern in a wall type? If so how? If not does anybody else have any sugestions for how they have worked with walls by legend?

Thanks

Nick
