One of my students is using a MAC, with Parallels and Revit.  In my 36 plus years working with CAD and eventually Revit, I have never used a MAC product... just a PC user.  It works just great for me.  Anyway, the student says that the Control key is inconsistant when selecting multiple objects for a particular opperation / command.  I know that the Control key is quite effective on a PC for selecting multiple objects.  I'm thinking it might not be the software but maybe the hardware or maybe even the student who is having an issue.  Any suggestions?

I used to use Parallels on a Macbook Pro Retina. It did not perform very well as it didn't utilise the system resources fully and it laboured to operate at the same time as the MacOS was running. I removed parallels and installed bootcamp Windows 10 and performance increased dramatically. So to start off I would recommend doing that and use Revit in a Windows OS.

Mac keyboards are different to normal keyboards. They have the command key for example. The user may need to experiment with different keys to see what works. Or may even have to remap keys.

Generally speaking Revit on Macs suck. Ideally they should get a PC.
