Trying to make a Dutch Windmill - Havekes Mölle in Twello the Netherlands and I have problems with the top roof.

From an old drawing and a lot of photos I made the shape. And I think it is not to bad... But the moment I try to change it into a mass object it goes terribly wrong.

My problem is only with turning part of the top.

Why do you want to change it to a mass?

it is a thachet roof with a thickness of about 250 mm. I only have a thinkness of... 0 mm - and I can't change my material.

And I would love to learn how it works. just to know.

I'm not shure if I understood you, but if the thickness is your problem, dont change the material, change the structure of the roof, just like you do wiht floors

I have a couple of thoughts...

  • I suggest you tell us more about your process, maybe we can help you there.  I will not be opening your families.
  • I don't understand why you 'can't' apply a material.
  • Material thickness - Is that really an issue here?  Why do you need that?  If you need that, they why didn't you already create it?
