Trying to do a materials takeoff for stair soffits and cannot figure out how to apply a paint finish to the soffit surface.

Any help appreciated.

This is probably a silly question but were you using the Paint tool? ( See https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-lt/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/RevitLT-Model/files/GUID-8BAA7C07-D174-4F02-AA81-239FD33BE363-htm.html )If so, did you pick the right material from your material library that will show a different finish to the stair material? Were you picking the stair soffit? To be sure try a 3D view and redo.
