Hi,

I want to create and schedule a large sized bulding stone cladding. I was trying to see how it works for the complex areas.

But facing some problems here.

The vertical stone cladding wall showed in the picture was created by using a thin wall 20mm think  and using create parts i divided it to look like seperate pieces.

For the slant wall, i created a line using mass and extruded that like a sheet, Then using wall by face i created the slant wall. And divided it like i did for the vertical wall.

The problem is when i schedule, the slanted wall dimensions are not generated in the scheduling.

Please find the attachments.

And give your suggesions

Thanks.

Parts are not easy and typically the last choice for what you are doing.  Simple split areas with different materials and a material schedule would have been far easier.

Thanks to WWHub.

I am really sorry. I am not getting your reply.

All i need is just the cladding Area, Length & Width from the entire project.

Can you please suggest if there is any other way to do this.

Because I need to show stone cladding as shown in the attachment. (With 10mm of gap).

Thanks.

As I wrote earlier, parts are hard to do.  Did you look at your material schedule options? That may only give you areas.

Another option that I used for seperate metal panels like that was to have a face based family (applied to my wall) with type based colors and adjustable w&h which I then scheduled.   Again - far easier than parts.

i have used another approach with the cladding also as i used curtain wall and i was setting the panel as the type of wall i need and the mullion as a void or the grouting material , and it worked very well for me

Thanks @ Elnazer2.

I tried that way  but revit does not allow me to create on slant face.

It gives me an error as you can see in the attachment.

Thanks @ WWHub.

You are always coming first to give your presious answers but I dont know there is some problem with me that is why i could not succeed even after your answer.

I did as you mention earlier, But still i fail to get the right solution.

If you can please upload any small model that would be helpful for me to understand i believe.

Thanks.

Thanks to WWHub & Elnazer2.

At last i found the solution.

Elnazer2, I used curtain panels as you mentioned.

Those steps were taking time but i got the result as i expected.

Once again thank you guys for your support.

am glad you did and just to clear this out for the others , for the non vertical planes you can use curtain system from architecture tab
