is there any way to turn off automatic temporary dimensions?

I don't think so, but why would you want to? To me they are the best part of Revit and couldn't live without them.

thanks for responding tom
when i draw exterior walls with the location line set to "finish face exterior"
the temporary dimensions always comes up different than the length i type
in.. the temp always measures to center of wall.. that's distracting to me..
i have tried many times in "settings>temporary dimensions" to change it to
"faces" but that doesn't change it.. i was hoping someone would know as
i asked the forum 2 times so i figured that's what i'm stuck with so i'll just
turn them off.. i'm new to revit so this is probably ridiculous.. thanks
