Is your RPC from Archvision? If so, they have a compatability matrix at:

http://www.archvision.com/GetCompatibilityMatrix.cfm?ViewPlatform=8

Assuming compatability, you need to make or modify an "entourage" family which will hold the RPC definition. It is best to start with one of the standard Revit entourage people families and modify by adding a new type that will reference you new RPC file.

It is also important that you place the RPC file where Revit can find it. The default location is the long winded path of:
C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataAutodeskRevit Building 9RenderingRPCPeople

I would not place it there, but creat a new standard location for yuor RPC files preferably on a server. In Revit's 'Settings>Options>Rendering[tab]' set a path to the new RPC folder location.

Then in your entourage family, make sure that the file properties of the RPC are set to the new RPC folder location for each entourage type. If set correctly, you will see the RPC preview in the family.

HTH

It will not move in Revit, it will only be the still static image. Tom
