Hi! Hope someone knows how to edit Accurender plants. If you take a look in the folder there you have installed Revit you can find: Rendering\AccuRenderRedist\SUPPORT\Internal And in the internal folder you find e.g. PLANTS.mlib But if you want to edit the plants? Make new ones! How to do? Anyone who has find a tutorial? If you try to Google for "Accurender Plant Editor" you just find one answer and that one does not say any more... Anyone who knows???

I found out it myself!!! You have to seek for a family on RevitCity using the word tree and you find a lot. I found a spruce called tree_893.rfa. Then I loaded it as a component and then raytraced it. It was no longer a spruce! It was something quite different??? So I opened the file tree_893.rfa in Revit and I clicked on Family Types on the menu. And I could click Plant Name and I could found out that the spruce was a oak, black!!! So I hade to chose a spruce myself in the library Trees and Shrups/Conifers... And I could make my own spruce of the one I had choosen by clicking Plant - New - Use current plant as Template.... And begin to experiment... But that is not so easy to get the tree you are out for, but try and try again This was easy... But for the one who get stuck. It is not so funny...Perhaps I have to do a little new illustrated tutorial to gain another 50 points... Or someone else is free to do it! Good Luck... Because I think it is so much easier to follow a description then it is illustrated... PS There is only one problem left. If you open a new file for Familys in Revit which template do you have to use for plants and trees???? Someone who knows???

If you do not want to use RPC Creator to make trees of your own pictures/photos you can buy trees from Archvision. It will cost you $349.... Take a look at this adress: http://www.archvision.com/ContentDetails.cfm?BundleID=80100 But you can not find a single spruce... and no trees of Eden... Hopefully you can use the trees from Archvision in Revit but I am not sure. They tell you that you must have the ACM-Enabled Plug-in. That one you can get for Photoshop, ADT, Viz, 3DS Max, Maya but they do not say anything about Revit. Anyone who knows? Why canīt you not use trees from Archvision then you can use their people in Revit? You can always manage your own trees with RPC Creator. Take a look at my tutorial. And if someone makes a nice tree perhaps it is possible to upload the .rpc-file with the treee? to have some exchange of trees on Revitcity... What do you say, hjacobs - about .rpc-files - do you want them on Revitcity? Nice .rpc-files with people and trees? Everyone has a camera(digital) in this electric age and can make some nice photos to use in Revit. On the Rugi-site - http://www.rugi.org/cgi-bin/peoplesexch.pl - they have photorealistic people as .rfa-files but without the .rpc-files with the photo-content... Better upload both the .rfa-file and the content-file(the .rpc-file)... If you are looking in the gallery of Revitcity you do not find so much architecture with people in it. Architecture are made for people to live in. Then you must have people(mermaids) in it to do some illustration... Or it is just a cementry... And better have your own photos... The people of this world is not the nerds you find on the Archvision or Rugi site... So why not have a little more photorealistic peole and trees on Revitcity. And the Gallery will be so much more inspiring! Just think about it or a little explanation will make it... function!
