I have the project true north and project north set up, I set the floor plan view to true north and Link the dwg orig to orig, aligned to view cleared and this view only checked, this file links in perfectly. I change the view to project north and everything is good. I crop the vew and work on the project, after moving from view to view or colsing the project and reopening the file, I descovered that the linked dwg has lost the true nort / project north orentation. after many relinks, audits, and any thing eles I can think of the problem persists.

Any ideas as to the remeady?

YES

The linked files are floor plans in ACAD where the team is continuing to develop backgrounds from the Designer

Isn't this problem caused by the fact that Revit treats a "This view only" as a annotative type element?  Thus it really has no orig to orig link any longer.

Maybe unchecking that box and using a workset to control what views this linked CAD will show up in will work correctly.

I belive the problem stems from the model being too far from the internal origen, I re-created the model putting the model at the internal origen and utilized the shaired coord. system and things have setteled down.

DUH!!
