I've exported an IFC file ticking the split walls and columns by level option however when I open the IFC file some columns are split level by level and some are still showing full height through multiple levels, any ideas anyone?

are the uncut collums from the same family? I've had this problem with a 'collum' made as a floor based generic model.

Although I'm not familiar with these problems because we don't do IFC, I think there is more to the question asked by onej6.   You say they are the same family but are they all placed the same way?   Are some one story columns and some multistory columns?   If they are different to begin with then that might explain this.
