i have a demo elevation tag for a building elevation, it shows up on the 1st floor plan, but not on the second floor plan. are building elevations specific to floors, or should i be able to see the tag if it was put in on the first floor?

thanks!

It normally shows but there are several possible explanations why it may not.

  • Did someone hide it in view?
  • Are elevations on in VG?
  • Does the view have an annotationm crop region that does not include the view?
  • Is the plan view a floor plan view instead of a detail view?
  • Does the elevation type have a "Do not show in views at scales smaller than" and the scale is too small?
  • Does tghe elevation view cut extend up through the floor plan level?

i figured out what i did... the tag was close to the building at a smaller scale drawings, but as the scale increased, the tag was further out from the building... i needed to mess with the tag location as well as the drawing region to get it to show up... revit is like a human being on PMS or going through menopause, very very VERY touchey!!!

thanks!
