Hello everyone,

I'm quite new on this forum. My Name is Stefan Wever and i'm an enigneer using Revit to make biulding plans for a contractor. Whe built a lot of basements.. The basements are insulated, and somethimes it can have lots of different levels and corners.. This makes is a lot of work to insulatie them by adding walls and floors (of insulation ofcourse) to the concrete walls and floors.

My Question:

Is it possible to create a family which will adapt itself to de boundaries of the face/wall it is being placed on? so i could just click the wall or face of the wall and it will be filled with te family by itself. this would really help me.

thank you very much in advance for your answer.

Stefan Wever. (The netherlands)

Just use a thin wall and point to your walls to place it.  After placement of the thin wall against the building wall, use the join tool and all openings in the wall will now also cut the thin wall.
