At our architecture office we [try to] draw our buildings the way they are being constructed (reasons: BIM and material take-off)(note: I live in Belgium).

The problem I'm having involves a concrete winded staircase, of wich the base lies on the edge of a floor. When I add an extension below base, it only extends parallel to the underside of the stair, there's no way to controle the width of the base3

The pink region, in the fourth drawing, is what I would like to accomplish in Revit. I'm afraid the only way to accomplish this is to combine "extend below base" with a concrete beam. Though this isn't recommended as it can lead to mistakes/problems with our schedules.

All suggestions are welcome.

Note: I'm using Revit 2016.

How about using a floor edge sweep?
