So here is the thing. My firm has tasked me with schedules in making them as intuitive and easy as possible for them to populate themselves.  I am working on Revit 2014, but will be on 2016 tomorrow. In this gross area schedule we have the units per floor in the schedule, but the number is manually placed in and then that number is used with a formula to calculate the number of bikes are necessary and hope to get number of parking stalls necessary for this project and type of parking and so on and so forth. Is their a way or a formula or something that we can do to make it so we can get a total unit per floor for each level that are grouped like the photo? I know that I can't put count into the formulas, but I have a "isUNIT" parameter that is a number that I use to schedule it out in other schedules, but for this I cannot use that and I cannot figure out how to do the some of isUNIT

You can add project parameters to rooms that you can then use for sorting and counting in schedules.  Or in some cases, you can just use some of the existing room parameters and just rename them in your schedule.

Look for more training and videos on how to use Revit schedules.
