1. WHEN ISSUING A PROJECT FOR PERMIT/FIRST TIME WHAT TEXT OR LABEL DO I NEED TO USE IN THE TITLE BLOCK?
2. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE USE THE PROJECT REVISION TRACKING?

We use the revision and issued list. It works fine except that we like to keep the delta marks and hide the clouds, but this is not available. It's all or nothing so we hid both instead of having the clouds all over the place.

That all sounds great, but what do you do about the updating the model?
Example: When you issue a set of CDs for permit do you archive that rvt file and then continue on to the next issue of drawings?
I understand how you keep track of your revisions? Just not sure how you freeze each formal issue in time once the set has been issued. I hope this makes sense. Right now we just make a copy once we have issued and then keep one file as the current/working file.
Let me know your thuoghts.

I see the Revit file as an evolving thing and the paper copy as a record copy frozen in time. So, I don't worry about archiving rvt files except at major project, major points. It probably is a good idea when a 'big' fee is represented by that file. We work on small and large buildings and so 'big' fee is a relative thing. We rarely 'go back' to a previous version of the model, so typically, the paper version is enough. IF you take the AIA's integrated practice iniative seriously, then it makes more sense to archive those rvt files.

Thanks! That gives me a better understanding of what the industry is doing with Revit.
We made the switch from Autocad to Revit a few months ago and have been very successful. Most of are projects go from concept to CDs with out Autocad. It has been great!

You should try the Drawing Manager on the http://www.revittv.com/ website - i have been using it to track and record our drawing issues with great ease now!
