Hi all

Does anyone know why JH provide green walls as their Revit content wall?  I had an idea that maybe this was a "green Screen" much like the CG guys use in the movies.  But when I apply a tint, you get a greenish hue to the render and it is no longer the exact colour you have tinted as per the RGB codes.  Anyone have any clues?

Cheers

Always remember, THE PROJECT RULES.  Materials defined in the project can not be altered by elements / families loaded into the project.

We don't know how you are working with this.

Thanks for the reply dubya.  In a new project if you load a James Hardie supplied Revit file (downloaded from ACCEL), it brings materials with it.  See file attached.  I am wondering why it is green?  Wouldnt it be better to make it white with a graded surface rather than green?  If you apply a tint, the original colour gets a greenish hue about it.  So If you are not meant to tint the material, how do you apply a colour to it, that is exact as per the RGB codes?

Cheers

Where did you get your family?  The Hardie site doen't seem to carry it and neither does autodesk seek.

Hardies offer a support site called ACCEL (http://accel.com.au/main_architect.php) that carries CAD files for their various products.
