This light fixture is upside down and I can't figure out how to rotate it to make it not upside down.
I have attached my building I would like to use the lights in.
I am using Revit 2012.

This is a face based family. Did you try placing the light in a reflected ceiling plan? That is how you should place all ceiling lights.

I am very new to Revit. Nothing shows up in my ceiling plans. I have attached the file. Why does nothing show up in my ceiling plans?

You have not attached any files, you only attached a link in your first post.
Use a reflected ceiling plan and do you have a ceiling? It needs to be on in VG and so does lighting.

Yes, I have a cieling. What is VG? How do I turn it on/off? I don't know why the file didn't attach.

You need to spend some time with your HELP:
ceilings
VG
and some beginning tutorials.

I now have a ceiling plan and it is visible, but I can't place any lights. I get the error, "Couldn't find an appropriate Host. Try selecting a different Host Face or switch Placement Mode." All the tutorials I read say to go to the Link's VG settings, but I don't have that tab. I wish I could post my file!

The other lights will place, just not the Lutrons.

I downloaded the family and placed it on my ceiling - no problem. It is face based as I said so from a RCP, you pick 'place on face' tnen a spot on your ceiling.

Thank you. I had "place on vertical face" not "place on face" selected. It is working now. Thank you for your patience!
