Does anyone know why rendered ceilings often seem to have circular patterns over them? This is an ACT ceiling with a recessed light and it looks NOTHING like it should. I don't think it's shadows cast from the light source because the pattern doesn't even emulate from the fixture.

I've had it happen on floors when I mistakenly painted the material on instead of adding a finish to the structure. But in this case, it's just ACT tile and I haven't altered it at all.

What bothers me the most about it is that it's always the standard beige revit color and it actually obscures the material finish of the ceiling making it look completely different.

Just wondering if there was something obvious that I was doing wrong or if there was an easy fix. Thx!

With my admittedly limited Revit rendering experience, my best guess would be the 'circles' are actually from the Revit light used in the rendering- do you have ambient lighting on? Then it could be the shadow patterns.

The ceiling looks like the material isn't rendering- is it mapped correctly? Is there a bump map missing?

Or is the scale of the celing material off maybe?

Using Revit2014, dragging the rest of the company with me from AutoCAD2008. When will the whining stop?
