HI
I AM WANTING TO MODEL COFFERS IN REVIT. PLEASE SEE IMAGE ATTACHED.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO ACHIEVE THIS?
GENERIC FLOOR BASED FAMILY? MODEL IN PLACE FLOORS?

You don't mean coffer - those are 4 sided. What you show is joists and I assume you mean like concrete joists - correct?
Years ago, I did a precast parking garage where I used a double T family that I created. You could do something similar... or you could do an in-place extrusion in the floor category....or you could do a very thick floor with a face based void (adjustable length) to cut the void areas.
Not really any best method. Best method is maybe based on your skills.

i used a face based family with parameters. it worked great.
thanks alot, you helped me avoid a lot of trial and error and time wasting
