Hi!

I am having problem with the  facade, section and detail views, they show everything as if the visual style is wireframe, even though it is not. I have been working on the same file for a while and at first it was working as it should, but suddenly the facade, section and detail views started showing like this. When it started I had the 2014 version, now it's updated to 2015 version it's still the same problem with the project.

Projects I've made later works as normal.

Anybody know what to do? Is it possible to fix this?

I will be truly grateful for all help!

Create a new view and see if that works.  Sometimes views can become corrupted.

Also - obviously - audit your file.

Thank you, but I have tried that several times, but the new elevation/ detail/ section view shows in the same way as the old one. It seems like the whole file is corrupted:-P

I might be stupid asking, but what is "audit your file"?

While in Revit, click on the question mark ? on the top bar, far right.  Niw when your Help opens up, click on the magnifying glass and type AUDIT.

Hi and thank you again!

I have now audited the file but still the old views shows the same way as before. And when I make a new elevation, the new elevation view still shows as if it's wireframe, even though it is not :-(

You say it is not wireframe.   Are you positive?  Do you have a view template applied to the view?

Have you installed the 3 updates for 2015?

Under the Revit R/Options - Graphics, turn off Hardware acceleration.

Thank you for your patience!

I have not installed the 3 updates, no. I don't think that I have installed a viewtemplate to the views, how can I find out if I have?

The views doesn't change when I switch off the Hardware acceleration. Look at the file attached, could it be likely that I have to install another driver?

That image shows you don't have a template and that it is not set to wireframe.

BUT - Are you sure your looking at a wireframe view?  I don't think so.  Switch the setting to wireframe and see if it changes to even more objects showing.  If that is the case then you have something else going on.   Hidden walls or some objects over-ridden to transparent or even whole categories set to transparent in VG.

Wireframe view showes more than the other views. I can't find that something is changed in the VG settings that should make the views like that. When the views in Revit started to show like this, it happened in both my computer and my colleague's computer, even though we don't work at the same files. When we start new projects, there is no problems with this.

You wrote "Wireframe view showes more than the other views..."   Meaning changing it to wireframe shows even more objects?  If that is correct then the view is not wireframe.  You have objects set to transparent.

Creat a couple of overlapping walls off to the side and cfdreate an elevation just to look at that set to hidden line.   Does it appear to still be transparent?  If so, look at your materials.   If not, then something has been done to the objects or settings in your regular view.

Changing it to wireframe shows even more objects, yes. (You can see that in the difference between the two attached files in previous answer.)

The materials in the facade are not set to transparent. and when I make it show as render appearence(wich is not set to transparency), the wall is shown with colours, but it still shows as wireframed.

Is there other ways to make the objects show as transparent or wireframed other than in changing the visual graphic?

i had a similar problem before too.

the fix is that you probably have some linked autocad files thats corrupting the views...what you should do is to go to the affected views and turn on visibility graphics - under 'imported category' tab, turn off or uncheck 'Show imported categories in this view' - thats what i did and it fixed it. repeat for other affected views.

cheers.

I guess you might accidentally have given a transparency override value to the walls.
