Should the OS (Operating System) and Revit be on separate drives?  Would this allow multiple processing CPU to work two processors at the same time for each instruction set  from each program; OS and Revit?  In theory I think it should make a difference in speed, with the effect of multiple processing.

I believe the people who asked me this question have the following hardware in their workstation(s) -

  • Intel i7 six processor CPU
  • nVidia Quadro 4000
  • 44 GB RAM
  • Several Samsung Pro SSD drives

Any thoughts?

Thank you.
