Hi All, I'm tied. The function is probably there. I just can't see it. How do I divide a line into equal segments. Live the DIVIDE command in Autocad? Thanks. cadjockey

IT'S A PAIN IN THE b$#%. YOU WILL NEED TO SPLIT THE LINE, DIMENSION TO THE END POINTS OF EACH SEGMENT, AND CLICK THE EQ BUTTON...

Incase someone stumbles across this as i did use the array command.

Example:

if you have a horizontal line you want divided into 6 segments i would draw a vertical line at the left end point of the horizontal line.

select the vertical line and hit the array button.

in the array command make sure you are doing a linear array for this example.

change the "Number:" to however many segments you want + 1.

change the "Move To:" to "Last".

then pick the start point (the intersection of the two lines).

then pick the end point (the opposite end of your horizontal line).

there it is. this thread was back in May of 2006 so the version then might not have done this. in 2008 it works. i hope this helps.
