Using Revit 2013

1. "Plan Region Equivalent" (See Photo)

- I would like to step back part of this elevation line...to only show the elevation of the building. Presently the line is beyond the exterior retaining wall (which includes a building wall). I would like to include the wall that has the sliding glass windows, as well as the wall that "juts out." Is it possible to step back the elevation line? or am I cursed to make two elevations and line-them-up. The thought of that makes me squemish.

Note: The greenline represents how I would like to show the elevation.

2. "Underlay Equivalent" (No Attached Photo)

- I presently have a roofline that is higher than the visible roofline. However, it is not in the section view. It is behind the view. Is there a way to underlay the view so I may provide a <Hidden> line-style to the roof outline?

Cheers,Dave

Do you want a split elevation segment?  Click on the elevation cut line and pick that option from the task bar.

WWHub: I was hoping to do a "step" in the elevation...from what it sounds like...you're directing me to do a Vertical View Break in the elevation? I imagine then I would have to do a second elevation, and move the line of that elevation in plan back towards the building correct?

Split elevation in 2013.... Use a section. that will split in 2013.  Hide the section marker and set an elevation that references other view and pick the section.

Second question: set your view to wireframe and will the hidden line style work now.  Obviously, set the view back to hidden line.
