I have read through the posts but did not find one specific to this unless I missed it. I am editing a garage door family and for some reason I cannot window select the elements that I want to mass edit. The elements are lines so I cannot select all in view. Not that I would want to as I am creating interior panels.

The wall the garage door is on keeps getting selected when I window not the interior panel lines

Any ideas or direction would be helpful

When you say mass edit, you mean just to change their type?  ...or move ooo or copy them all at once.  That's about all you can do.

2D lines I assume.  You can widow that area in the appropriate view then look at your filter and remove the items you don't want from the selection set.  You can only select 2D lines that are normal to your view.  (Like - elevation lines will not be in a plan view)

Thank you wwhub. I have 2d lines to represent panels within the door. I have created one set and I wanted to highlight the entire panel to multiple copy.

When I try to window the panel it selects the extrusion behind. If I pin the extrusion it still selects. I have attached the south elevation

You can't edit the family in the project.

Sorry I wasn't clear on the attachment. The elevation was only for reference for the garage door family inserted into my model.

I am editing the door sweeps and extrusions within the family not the model.

Within the family it won't let me window.

It is probably not a full revit family but possibly CAD or sketchup.
