my family type is concrete beam, the type is EB1, RB2, etc., each beam has a size to it 24X24, 24X36, etc.

when annotating beams can you switch between the type RB1 and the size or do yopu have to just change the type from RB1 to the actual size?

I don't understand what you are asking.  Did you try to do what you are asking? What was the result?
