I am really struggling to get these stairs right. I have 6 equal floor to floor levels. I specify level 1 to level 2 as the first flights with multistory set to the top flor level. I have landings selected.
It generates all the stairs, but doesn't create a landing at the actual floor levels, only on the "half landings". I select the stairs, all stairs are highlighted, but I can't use the landing tool to create a landing at the actual floor levels; when I select again, it only lets me edit the "master stair" (level 1 to 2) and all other flights (created with multistory value) are hidden.
Extending the floor to the edge of the stair doesn't connect the stair to the floor landing and in section view, doesn't show a correct realistic join as teh stairs would actually be built.
Are ther any "idiots" guides to this, I have searched youtube etc. and haven't seen anything that shows a good simple example on the workflow and methods for revit to create what is basically a standard multistory stair with the correct joins / connections at landings and floor levels.
Many thanks.. and happy new year :o)

I think I have a work around...... if there is a better way, please post it :o)
Monolithic Stair in a stair well with 4 walls (escape stair), rising over 5 floors, all equal height. Create the first flight L1 to L2 (3.5m Floor to Floor, two flights, switchback) Stairs only, no landing. Once created, I accept and leave stair creation, the railings are placed. I slect the railing by the wall and delete. Leaves me with just the inner railing.
I go back into the stair creation, select both flights (runs) copy and paste aligned to the other floors. In 3D I create the landings, including a landing at the correct floor level. Exit stair creation and the single railing is created all the way up.
I can then extend the landings to meet the walls as necessary.
HOWEVER.... I actually have two sets of monolithic stairs in the same stairwell, each group has a different floor to floor. So between the two stairs groups I must create a floor and not a landing and get it to "fit" the stairs. The problem I now have is how to join the two seperate handrails which are loacted in each group where they meet at the floor level.
Thanks :o)

Most users create multi-level (all the same height) stairs as one element with intermediate landings. Only the floor level is created seperately. The inside railing can turn and go 1/2 the distance between runs at the floor line.
