  • i'm trying to incorporate a spot elevation tag into my custom pipe size tag
  •  i can incorporate a invert elevation parameter into it, but it doesn't take into consideration pipe thickness, therefore i have to use a spot elevation tag, and i know i;m trying to"breed" two different kind of species in Revit 14 but if i can manageto do it then i can save some serious man hours and a lot of frustration, if anyone could point me in the right directioni would greatly appriciate it.

I don't see how you can do this.  The tag reads what the object is.  The spot elevation has to read the object after it is placed.

I see, i was thinking since my tag that i made has a handful of parameters i can use as labels in it, if there was a way i could turn that into a label, or even a workaround involving: offset(elevation)subtracting radius, then subtracting pipe thickness into a custom paramter. that i can relate between the family and the project i'm working in. does that make any sense? or even possible, just trying to save my coworkers from having to line up the spot elevation tag, turn off the leader, then place the pipe size tag. Instead trying to make it all one process.

or even if i could edit the spot elevation tag to incorporate system type and size. like a vice versa process, instead of getting he spot elevation tag to communicate with my tag, just incorporate the information from my tag into the spot elevation tag. ya know?
