Hi All,

I've run into a very difficult problem when attempting to export images from camera views in Revit 2014. Camera views are exporting blank images, simple as that. In the project the camera views appear to be fine, all model elements are shown, but every time I export an image I get nothing but the crop region (if I have it turned on in the export settings). I've tried creating new camera's, changing phasing settings, changing the visual style settings, exporting to all of the different image types and sizes, adjusting resolution to very low and NOTHING. Blank image, every time. I've also tried auditing the file and restarting my machine, neither of which solve the problem. I can export to camera views to PDF perfectly, and I can export PDF's and images from standard 3D axons without any issues. 

Interestingly, when I go to open Revit the preview thumbnail of the camera view also shows as blank (see attached #1), but when I open the project all the model elements appear as normal (see attached #2). Anyone else run into this before???

Export to what?  I have no trouble exporting a camera view to a jpg image.  I have 2014, update 1 installed.

I tried exporting every kind of image... JPEG, TIF, BMP, all of them. 

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention, I'm on update #1.

You don't say what update!

Post an image of your export settings.

UPDATE: problem solved! I tried exporting an image from a different machine and was finally successful. The difference was that the other machine had hardware acceleration turned on, and my machine had it turned off. I turned on the hardware acceleration on my machine and could suddenly export images from 3D views again. Not sure why that matters, but it did. 

For those of you unfamiliar with how to enable or disable hardware acceleration, see the attached two images.
