Hi.

Ok i know the golden rule is not to explode autocad drawings in revit. but i need to. The problem is its saying there are more than 10,000 objects in the cad file. Which i know is not true. When i have imported other cad files (after all the layers have been unhidden and the file purged) and i explode it in revit i have noticed there blocks and lines appear that were not in the cad file. (i have gone into the layer manager and everything is unfrozen and turned on) its happend a few times. so i know this drawing is full of junk but i cant figure out how to turn absolutely everything on for me to delete it. the problem popped up 8 years ago and autodesk was able to give me an answer how to do it. Unforuntately we no longer has support. Can anyone out there help?

Cheers

It sounds like you may have some nested blocks.  You need to explode those blocks (or delete better yet them) - then purge and look for other blocks again.  You may find you have blocks after each purge.
