Hi, I am trying to learn how to import my views from Revit to be rendered in 3 D MAX in V RAY but when I import the view I want it  always shows my whole building site. What am I doing wrong? Please help me!

I believe you can OPEN your RVT file directly in MAX in 2013/14 version. No need to IMPORT.

The only step you are missing is the 3D crop box.  Go to a 3D view, duplicate it with detailing (or not) and rename it something like 3dsMax View A - no site

Then adjust the crop box in Revit by clicking on it and adjusting the edges to show JUST the model you want.

Save Revit, exit that view

Open 3dsMax - Logo Icon - References - Manage Links.  Attach your revit model and select the view you just created (3dsMax View A - no site) in your revit model, the one you just crop boxed.  NO IMPORTING NECESSARY! LINKED !

That's it.  For more Revit and 3dsMax models check out my web address below.  They are all 3dsmax w/ Revit.
