Hi, I have a problem connecting two edges of two seperate gutters around a square corner. pictures attached

Gutters will only connect when they are done as one operation or by editing and adding to one that was already placed. If you are using roof edge, then it will not work here.

chjcnmc, were you using roof edge? if not, what? how did you solve this?
