I need to draw a family of a specific roof tile and I have to make this family multiply over an area.  I tried doing it by making pattern base family and this seems to work.  Howver, I have been told that it is even better to use compound objects for this.  I know what a compound object is when it come to multilayers of lets say walls or floors, but how do you actually use it for this purpose?
