Has this happened to anyone. When I look in the family, the trim is nicely down to the reference floor. also, i deleted the sidelight and the trim missing thing was still there, Any thoughts?

Did you look at both sides of your family? 

The problem is in the family - somewhere.

Yeah, I thought that too. checked both sides, nice and locked to the floor reference. should I post the model...it didnt reveal anything to me when I looked at it.

This door does not function correctly from type to type and you don't say what you use in the project.

 

In your family, pay attention to what the bottom sketch lines of the trim sweeps is aligned to.  You have several items at the door bottom that may have been used and I can't tell which ones you used.  (The level, the bottom of the wall, the bottom of the door panel, a reference plane.)    Re-align these lines and tab select the correct reference.
