Somebody please tell me there's a way to set your doors, windows, walls to insert as existing vs. new construction.

I'm getting sick of inserting an entire floor plan and having to go back and change everything to existing in my existing view.

Thanks

Look at your view properties.....set your phase under phasing.

BTW - Learn to use your Help.  If you had simply searched "Phase" you would have found:

Phasing Workflow

This workflow describes a typical method of using phases and phase filters to manage a project.

  1. Determine the phases of work that you want to track for the project, and create a phasefor each.
    Example
  2. Create one or more copies of a view for each phase, and name these views appropriately.
    Example
  3. For each view, in the Properties palette:
    Example
  4. (Optional) Specify graphicsfor elements that are existing, new, temporary, and demolished.
    Example
  5. (Optional) Specify the Phase propertyfor each element.
    More
  6. (Optional) Create phase-specific schedulesfor the project.
    More
  7. Create phase-specific construction documents.

That would have saved you a whole lot of time.

Thanks WWHub

Seems it's always something I've done before but, not being an every day user, you find yourself re-learning alot.

Thanks for helping me figure it out.

Iit's all good now.

Cheers
