In a residential project with horizontal wood or vinyl siding, what is the best way to indicate corner boards? I've tried creating a custom profile and then applying a vertical sweep but I can't get the corner board to position properly. Thanks!!

I just uploaded a very simple corner board that someone in our office made. It started as an in place family, which is what I would suggest for cornerboards with lots of detail.

Thanks. Lately I've found that I prefer to split the face and use paint tool to apply a different material to represent the corner board.

I think that would be a temporary thing to do, the split faces. Once you really get going, use the family because it will give you a more accurate model representation thus leading to a better documented model. Meaning better takeoffs
