I am trying to create a toposurface with the "place point" method. I am unable to outline the area of the surface, the inner outline points are ignored. I have an overlap of two surfaces. Can anyone suggest a better way to create inlets within a toposurface outline, or perhaps a better way of creating one? I am using Revit 2013 and I am a fairly new user. Please help!

"...I am unable to outline the area of the surface..."  << The surface will be created to your extreme points. You don't outline anything.

"....the inner outline points are ignored...."  << I don't know what you mean here.  All points will be used that you create.

"...I have an overlap of two surfaces.." << The only way this can happen is if you created two seperate topo's.

This is a simple process.  Please just read your HELP on how to create a topo surface.

hi,

if you want to outline or you dont want the topo (swine) to overlap the slab (floor). you need to split and delete the overlapping/excess.

just want to share this link, it gave me a lot of ideas how to play with topo. good luck.
