We have been wanting to add more space to the rows in all of our schedules, but obviously there isn't this option in Revit because it goes by text size. However, to get around this, we add a few underscores or quotation marks with enough space between them (  "                "  ) that the row height expands. Now all we want to do is somehow hide these dummy symbols. Basically, is there a way to hide text in a schedule, without hiding the whole column?

Why not just add a blank line in your schedule after each sorted item?

We would rather not add a line between the rows. This image shows the look we want. To get the row height, however, there is one column that has, "                      " , separated by space as if it were really long text filling in the square. I just want to hide the quotes on the sheet since there isn't a way to do it in the schedule. How can we achieve this?

You can't.

A workaround that might work is you could use "Zero Width Space" from your character map, instead of using ", that way nothing shows up and there is nothing to hide. You get the same result as using " or any piece of text for that matter, but it shows up as nothing.
