Good morning all, We have a modular student housing project we are about to start modeling. Its a 4 story building made of pre-fab units. One unit is essentially 2 pieces bolted together on site.
The question is.... best practice for creating a unit and placing in the model. The will be 9 separate units. I have a had luck in the past with model groups but that was on a much smaller scale. From the posts I've read thus far, people seem to lean towards creating a separate project for each unit and linking them into a master file with sheets, annotations, etc (we have plenty of experience with this) My concern is multiple instances of a link in the master file, if that’s even possible.
We have AutoCAD drawings as a base so we will have no problem modeling each unit. How do we link all of the unit multiple times?
Thanks in advance for any tips!

I would suggest you onlt create seperate models for each unit if they are documented seperately. Otherwise, keep them in the main model.
If they are seperate projects and you want then to show them combined, you can link once and copy as many times as you need. AS ALWAYS, READ YOUR HELP:>
