Hi guys. I'm having an issue connecting the roof of an addition to a dentist office with the roof of the as-built structure. I keep getting an error message that says "part of the roof to be joined misses the target face", when using the roof join command. This command has worked for several other roofs on the structure , but not this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I attached an image of the problem. The highlighted roof needs to attach to larger existing roof (just ignore the unconnected walls at the moment).

Thanks a bunch!

How is that hip roof (in blue) suppose to attach to the main gable roof?  It doesn't look like the slopes will match up correctly and the hip roof will end up above the gable roof.  Unless the image is deceiving.

That actually solved the first problem. Thanks! Sorry, I am new to revit and am having to crash course it in a very short time. I adjusted the slope of the roof, but I get a new error now when I use the roof join command. Any suggestions?

I agree, that's the problem:  the blue roof will not acuatlly resolve to the main roof.  change the pitch of the blue roof

I essentially want the new roof to be "extended" into the gabled roof, if that is possible.

I figured it out. I needed to remove the slopes from the two opposite sides of the roof. I am a dummy.

Thank y'all for your help and quick responses!
