Is there anything special i have to do to a file (I am the only one working on it) to work on it at home? I never made it a centeral file, I am a newbe and am alittle lost here. My dimension families don't look the same at home and my linked autocad drawings would not reload.

If you need your linked files, you will have to take them home as well and use reload from to tell Revit where they are.
Your dimension families will be the same so I don't know what difference you think you see.
If you have any special materials or a keynote file, you will also need those.
