Hi,

I’m interested  in getting dark brown Prodema wood siding effect with groves for my wood siding. The closest I can get would be the Walnut wood siding which is the closest in terms of the grain look. But, as I render my exterior under Exterior Sun, the whole wood siding shows so washed out, like light brown. I even tried Walnut with dark brown Stain. Still I’m getting the same washed out effect. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me with this matter.

Regards,

Don't expect a close up texture to work at a distance.  Wood grain can not be seen at a distance.

Take a look at the prodema site.  The grain does not show in almost all views.

I would create my own material if I can't get the look I am trying to achieve

Didn't see WWhubs post first.

Thank you for the reply.

How about the colour of my wood. Why does it show Dark brown in the modeling view and as I render it, it fades out.

Rendered views always "reflect" the angle of the material - the angle of the light source, adjacent materials.....
