What pattern do you seek?
Is it a pattern from RevitCity or from somewhere else?

No.
To download a pattern from this site
- go to http://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=search&keywords=&user_name=&object_file_type%5B%5D=pat&sort=score
- select a pattern file
- select Add file to Zip Cart
- optionally add more files to Zip Cart.
- click on "Download Now" and save your zip file.
- Open the downloaded zipped file and extact the contained files into a a folder on your machine.
- in Revit, open your project and go the Manage ribbon and select 'Additional Settings' then "Fill Patterns'
- click on 'Drafting' or 'Model' then ''New' button, 'Custom' radio button, 'Import' radio button then browse to your downloaded pattern file(s) and open it(one).
- select a pattern from the listbox and adjust the scale if necessary to see a preview sample of the pattern.
- click ok,ok to save and use your new pattern from RevitCity.
If you follow the above instructions you should succeed.
If you want to create a new pattern, upload a dimensioned sketch. I'm testing a new version of HatchKit.

Worked for me.
Why not try asking http://www.revitcity.com/contact_us.php or your systems admin about download permissons?

Good point.
Some browsers block downloads by default. Some browsers ask for your permission before downloading by popping up a next-to-invisible-if-you-aren't-expecting-it question somewhere (typically near the top of the window) for you to click on.
It is very situation-dependent. Try downloading a file from some other site to see how it's been set up for you and have another go.

In case anyone has trouble with the download issue like I did:
all other families downloaded fine, but nothing would download at all when trying to get the .PAT files.
Right click and "save as" only gave me the option to save as an HTML file.
On the second "Thank you for downloading from Revit City" screen which popped up without a download actually occurring, I *was* able to right click and "Save as" to get the correct download dialogue and save as a .PAT file. Cheers!
