hi,
i have recently opened my revit project in my revit on my laptop and the lines are missing when thin lines is activated.
i have googled the problem and worded it in so many different ways in order to find a solution, but all that keeps coming up is basic stuff about lineweights and fine and couarse settings.
all of those settings are in order and nothing has changed from the day i saved it to the day i opened it and noticed this issue.
when i open the project on another computer it displays perfectly like before.
i will post 2 images below to show a plan of a wall with thin lines off, and then one at the same scale and distance apart with the thin lines activated.
also, even with the thin lines deactivated, when i scroll in and out of the project, the lines go all funny with some turning to dotted lines and some disappearing only to reappear when i scroll more.
anyway, i hope someone can show me how to fix this as it is hard to do plan detail call outs.
3d views do not have an issue, and the lines work normal when activating that thin line function.
thanks

This is probably a video card / driver issue.
Make sure you have the latest driver installed.

I too am having the same issue. I am running Nividia 4000 on a Dell Precision and the dissapearing lines has just started. Zooming in and out causes the lines to also come in and out of view. Very hard to detail like this. Any solutions, suggestions??

Do you have CAD in this view? Are these CAD lines? If they are Revit, then it is a video card issue. Check out your Graphics settings under the Revit R - try unchecking the hardware acceleration.
BTW - Zooming far - in is a CAD habit. The longer you use Revit, the less you will feel the need to zoom in. Revit's automatic snapping and temprary dimension/angles and parallel/perpindicular tools limit the need to zoom in close to work.

Hi WWHub, thank you, turning off hardware acceleration worked. I am now back to viewing the project as it should be... all lines present and accounted for. It's like a new experience.
My graphics dialog box mentions my laptops intel card and makes me believe that the Navidia is not being used for Revit? How can I tell this for sure and then alter it if necessary?
Appreciate your help.
See attached file.
