Hi,

does anyone know what is the source of the problem shown in attachement ? Everytime I run Revit, the problem arises and as I'm a beginner with this software I have no clue how to solve but I guess there should be some templates available.

Thanks for help in advance

When I ignore it I get blank project with no Elevations, 3D views and Structural Plan drop-down list in Project Browser. Also when I try to select wall type there is only one available instead of list to choose from. Does it have anything to do with missing templates and how to sort it out?

Hi Xzarem,

You may try following steps.

1. When you click "New Project", the Revit will ask for "Template file".

2. Click "Browse" next to "<None>".

3. Select "My Computer", then "Autodesk", then "RVT 2013" or whatever your version is.

4. Go to next folder "Templates", then "Metric" or "Imperial", in that folder select any template you want.

You can also find other folders like "Family" folder. Hope that can help.

Thank you for you replay.

The problem is that I don't have such folder installed. Everything I have is shown in attachment. I was thinking what can be the reason for this incomplete installation but I still haven't figured it out

Best regards

Hi Xzarem,

You looked into the "Program Files" folder, you should look into "Computer/C: /Autodesk/RVT2013/Templates".

If you can not find, use "search" to see if your computer has that folder.

Anusha01- you need to really create your own thread for this, you will get more responses that way.  Also there are a LOT of reasons walkthoughs take a lot of time... from size of the walkthrough, frames per minute, render settings.. etc.  You should do a search on here for Walkthrough settings and see what comes up to help you a bit.

I looked into it and I don't have in this folder either. It's really weird and I'm thinking what I have done wrong that I don't have all those templates. When I search for it, there is only one folder but it's empty and the location of it is completely different. I've tried to reinstall my revit but it doesnt seem to work too.

Best regards

Xzarem you need to Show Hidden Folders on your computer otherwise they don't come up.

The folder list you show is a sub-folder and we don't even know what that is.  Do a file search for *.rft
