Hi, i want to create an U-shaped stairs with no gap (as in the picture).

I create one boundry line between the 2 flows but Revit "Couldn't generate surfaces for stairs."

I know that this is probably stupid qestion but any help will be apreciated.

I guess I shouldnt rely on forums, but try to learn Revit myself.

Made it by accident.

First I made the stairs with the Run option. Then I overlaped the middle two boudaries. And error apeared but at the end the stairs appeared right.

Thats the only way I can do it so far.

I believe you are working in 2012 right? The link I gave you is from 2013 where you can create that "By Component" wich is more "simple" and you have some videos about that.

In 2012 you can't overlap the boundary lines (well, not true but you'll have that "error" Warning in this case about the  overlaping) BUT to avoid that follow the steps:

1) create the "run" sketch of your stairs  (image 1)

2) delete the boundarie lines (image 2)

3) move the stair from the endpoint to the endpoint (image 3)

and done... no "error" or warning.
