Hello, I was wondering if someone could look at the curtain panel in the link at the end and tell me what the best way to model it would be. I am familiar with how to make custom curtain panels where every panel is the same however in this example the panels angle in on one then angle out on the next floor. Would the best way be to model a section of four panels but make revit think it was one? Or is there a way to ungulate the panels without having to manually change each one?Thank you for you time

These would be best just as families - not CW panel.  Use an empty CW panel if you still want "mullions"

Thanks for the quick reply and insight. I was stuck on doing it as a CW but doing it as a family does make a lot more sence.ThanksSmile

??? Is it not a CW panel a family, too?

alf - you know it is... busting my chops?

I should have probably said something like - Don't do this as a CW Panel family.  Use a different family category that is easier to control.  Maybe a generic model?

I think the curtain wal panel family is the best option in this case.

(Sorry for the duplicated post). The server seems to be slow today, and I hit "submit" twice, thinking that it was not working.

By the way, another question. Is there a way to change one's username? I like to use my name in all the forums, but here I had created an account a long time ago as "alfmedina". I would like to change that to "Alfredo Medina". Can an administrator do thatfor me, please?

alf - no way to change your name, you would have to create a new account and start over on your history.  You can edit your profile for anything else.

I disagree with you about using a curtain panel but maybe you are only talking about the outer glass element.  That would be OK.  But if you look, there is a double system here.  The mullioned glass, the X panels back to a second mullioned panel with cross "mullions" between tem.

The 'X's would be better as a family, alternate rotation.

The curtain wall panel family is very versatile.

I will bow to your better experience with these.

Perhaps you could post that panel family so we can all see how you did it.

Thanks

BTW - Do you have teo CW's in the same place - one for glass and the other for the X?
