Hello,

We are working on implementing a skyscraper project into Revit, and we need the best solution for our structure:

- Our columns are defined by profiles set 14 floors apart, lofted – they are inclined in 2 directions as the tower tapers

– In each floor our (radial) grid is slightly rotated, according to the position of the columns’ sections on that floor

– the naming is logically always the same (A, B, C….), but added to it is the floor number

What would be a good solution to implement the variable grid parametricaly in Revit?

Ideally:

- we would have the column geometry in Revit and have the grid “attached” to it in each level – if we change the column geometry or position, the grid would auto-adjust on each level

Would that be a possible solution?

Thank you

Daniel

You will not be able to do this with Revit's Grids.  Revits grids are always vertical.  They can be straight or curved but they are always vertical.  In addition, they can not be parametric.
