Is there a way to level out the topography over a specific area. I have currently started a new project. In the early stages, modelling some masses up to do a walkthrough. I have a site of around 60,000sq m + and have to put around 8 warehouse distrubution centres on to. I have been given a rough masterplan by my architect. My major problem is developing the site around the warehouses. I need to have carparks which are pretty flat, and arn't just subregioned ontop of the topography (developed by a survey dwg in cad).. I also want to demonstrate kerbs and all. I used to previous just using a building pad to lower the carpark level, and use subregions to make kerbs exists etc etc, that was easi on a flat site. However as this is not flat, i need to know the following. - the best way to demonstrate a carpark in 3d, (give the impression it has real depth)- make the carpark a smoother gradient and then make it kinda merge back into the topography, so i dont have a massive difference and need to use retaining walls. i know i can click on individual points and adjust the levels, but this does not solve the issue of having grass at one height, kerb at the same, then a carpark 180mm lower. I'm sorry if not expressing myself in great clarity, though it's hard to put in words. In sketchup, it was a matter of pushing a pulling pretty much with some limitation. Any help, or references appreciated, thankyou.

Sounds like a nice project. You might want to look into Site Works by Eaglepoint. See attached for my road work method. It is involved but produces a very nice and real looking result. Sometimes I create an additional topo within the topo.

thankyou for your help mbsteve. I eventually just settled with building pads (flat and angled. Then i placed topopgraphy points where needed to make them join etc etc. I then subregions over subregion to make something look like kerb. lol. It has done the job for a concept proposal, however it does not have the lip running off to the road, like ur method has. Thankyou for your pdf, i'm going to try your method for the main street. Got to convince work to buy that siteworks, would had saved 2 days work atleast.
